ALINGHI GANO/ALINGHI I WIN

El defensor de la Copa América el barco suizo ALINGHI SUI 100 derroto al Emirates Team New Zealand NZL 92 5-2.

The defender of the America’s Cup Swiss boat ALINGHI SUI 100 I defeat to the Emirates Team New Zealand NZL 92 5-2.

Fue un campeonato parejo y muy peleado. El día 1 el ganador de la regata fue el Alinghi que estuvo al frente de toda la regata. El día 2 el ganador de la regata fue el Emirates Team New Zealand que gracias a un error que cometió el Alinghi los pasan y ganan la regata. El día 3 la regata fue para el Emirates Team New Zealand y paresia que se estaba dando vuelta todo, el Alinghi hizo la mejor largada pero se tiro para el lado equivocado de la cancha y el NZL 92 le llego a sacar mas de 300m, los Suizos recuperan en la tercer pierna y pasan al frente y luego en la ultima pierna los neozelandeses toman la delantera sobre el final de la regata. El día 4 el ganador de la regata fue Alinghi donde lograron una buena largada y los dos barcos fueron hasta el layline izquierdo donde los neozelandeses los hace virar a los suizos así no se pasaban del mismo, el NZL 92 llego primero al barlovento pero en la tercer pierna el SUI 100 logra pasarlos y llega primero a la línea. El día 5 la regata seria para el Alinghi por lo que primero fue un problema y luego se transformo en un error del NZL 92 este día el viento alcanzó los 15 nudos, el NZL 92 en la primer popa se encuentra que cuando izan el spinnaker estaba roto, deciden cambiarlo, al momento de cambiar el spinnaker se les rompe el que llevaban izado y por querer izar rápido el otro se olvidan de pasar la escota del mismo, teniendo dos spinnaker izados pero que no servían y en ese momento el Sui 100 los pasa y ganan la regata, y las cosas se ponían 3-2 a favor del Alinghi. El día 6 otra regata para el Alinghi y era mach point para él. El día 7 la regata es postergada porque el viento se movía demasiado y había poco, entonces la regata fue pasada para el martes 3 de julio, el martes fue la jornada de mas viento en esta Copa América y fue ganada por el Alinghi esto lo corono por segunda vez consecutiva el ganador de la Copa América, para los que no se acuerdan o no saben el Alinghi Gano en el 2003 la copa América 5-0 al Team New Zealand en Auckland New Zealand.

Alinghi vs. Emirates Team New Zealand

Este fin de semana empezaron las regatas del Alinghi y el Emirates Team New Zealand. El sábado se realizo la primer Mach Race la cual gano el Alinghi por 30 seg. aprox. El domingo se realizo la segunda Mach Race que esta vez gano el Emirates Team New Zealand por 28 seg. aprox.

Los suizos viraban a escasos centímetros del caso kiwi y se marchaban a la derecha para luego virar de nuevo y cruzar la proa del NZL 92 en busca de la izquierda. Terry Hutchinson ondeaba la bandera ‘Y’ reclamando penalización contra los suizos, pero los jueces no apreciaban ilegalidad en su maniobra.

La gran diferencia entre las dos regatas iba a ser la estabilidad del viento. En la primera jornada, los roles y las rachas habían impedido apreciar si el SUI 100 era más rápido que el NZL 92. Sin embargo, al inicio de la segunda regata, el barco diseñado por Rolf Vrolijk y Manuel Ruíz de Elvira aparentaba ser superior.
